FIFA 12

Winner of 20 "Best Sports Game of E3" awards, including the prestigious E3
Game Critics award, FIFA 12 brings to the pitch the game-changing new Player
Impact Engine, a physics engine built to deliver real-world physicality in
every interaction on the pitch. Experience the way real-world footballers
challenge each other for the ball, win possession, and test each other
physically. Enjoy an infinite variety of natural and believable outcomes in
every collision. Players feel more resilient, push and pull during the fight
for possession, and recover from light challenges more easily

Revolutionary gameplay innovations make FIFA 12 deeper and more engaging
All-new Precision Dribbling creates a higher fidelity of touch on the ball
for better control in tight spaces, more time to make decisions on attack,
and more control over the pace of the game. Innovations in attack are
balanced by a re-designed defending mechanism, making it as skilful and
meaningful as real-world football. With all-new Tactical Defending,
positioning and intercepting passes are as important as tackling. Tactics
and timing are crucial. Plus, CPU players have been infused with Pro Player
Intelligence, a self-awareness that enables them to behave and make
decisions based on their own skills and tendencies, and gives them the
aptitude to understand the strengths and weaknesses of teammates in every
situation

Battlefield 3 features the maximalist combined arms battles that made the series popular across single-player, co-operative and multiplayer modes. It reintroduces several elements absent from the Bad Company games, including fighter jets, the prone position and 64-player battles on PC. To accommodate the lower player count on consoles, the ground area will be limited for Xbox 360 and PS3, though fly space will remain the same.

Featuring breath taking graphics, immerse game play, massive multilayer battles. Battlefield 3 is a massive monster shaking the very foundations of modern FPS.

Big smartphone sales can't lift overall Samsung profits

Samsung Electronics reported a 23 percent decline in its third-quarter profit despite surging performance from its mobile devices unit.
The South Korean consumer electronics titan reported a profit of 3.44 trillion Korean won ($3.08 billion) on revenue of KRW41.27 trillion ($37.43 billion).
Samsung posted declining profits in its memory business, where demand for PC RAM continued to be weak, as well as operating losses at its display panel business.
Like fellow Korean conglomerate LG Electronics, the company cited weak global demand for the results, but said it expects a pickup heading into the holiday selling season in the fourth quarter.
Unlike LG, however, Samsung's handset business continues to do gangbusters. The company is relying more heavily on the unit to generate a significant portion of its profit and revenue, driven by the success of the Galaxy S II smartphone line-up. The company recently overtook Apple for the global smartphone market share crown, according to Strategy Analytics.
The telecommunications unit posted a 39 percent increase in revenue as smartphone shipments rose 300 percent over a year ago, when the company was still establishing its Galaxy brand. The company said it has shipped more than 10 million units in five months since its introduction.

Facebook account hijacked ? No worries

If your account does get hijacked, you can get it back by using a new Trusted Friends feature that was announced yesterday along with the security infographic. It lets you select three to five friends who can be trusted to help get access to a hijacked account. Facebook will send secret codes to them and they can then share them with you.

When hackers hijack accounts, the first thing they typically do is change passwords so legitimate account holders can't get back in. Instead of going through the rigamarole of verifying that you are the legitimate account owner, Facebook will now let friends vouch for you.

Battery Drain being investegated by Apple

Apple engineers are looking into faster-than-expected battery drain on the company's newest iPhone, according to a report.

The Guardian reports that some iPhone 4S owners are being contacted by Apple after complaining about lower-than-expected battery performance on the company's support Web site. Numerous users there are saying their phones are lasting just a few hours, even with minimal use, and with power-draining features disabled.

The iPhone 4S launched two weeks ago in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and several other countries, and is expanding to 22 additional countries this weekend. It boasts an extra hour of 3G talk time compared with the iPhone 4, while coming in at 100 hours less of standby time, based on Apple's own testing. CNET's own iPhone 4S battery testing with a model on Sprint's network yielded 9.2 hours of talk time on the carrier's 3G EV-DO Rev. A network, coming in as the strongest iPhone battery test to date.

600,000 suspicious log-ins are being stopped by Facebook

Facebook released an infographic blog post yesterday that says about 600,000 log-ins per day are compromised. That's given some the false impression that there are that many accounts compromised every day.

An undisclosed number of those 600,000 log-in cases may involve accounts that are already compromised and Facebook will likely block the account after discovering that.

So, how many accounts are compromised a day? The Facebook spokesman said he does not have statistics for that.
